Lupins, Monty Python Gardening, Permaculture and Ancient Rome
At last, after years of trying to garden by monty python principles, I have LUPINS. May we distribute them equitably amongst humanity.
This also displays some permaculture type of techniques as lupins are legumes (add nitrogen to the soil) and they are around a fig tree, which you can't really see, but it's in there, which will grow and provide shade to the front of the house in summer but let through winter light. And there's a reference to ancient Rome here as there is also a grapevine that you probably can't see, which the ancient Romans used to grow up into fig trees.
